Kawandi Style Project Bag PDF Pattern
This is a pdf pattern.
Make all the girls at guild jealous!
If you can bear to part with your bag, it would make a wonderful gift for that special maker in your life.
Using the traditional Japanese rice bag as an inspiration, I will guide you through making your own unique project bag using small Kawandi style mini quilts. Put your practice pieces to good use with this bag that is as useful as it is gorgeous. Bonus! It holds a ton of stuff! I’ve used it to carry all the fabrics (and more) that I need to make a lap-sized Kawandi inspired quilt.
Supplies are simple and minimal.
5 - 13” squares of backing fabrics
1 - 13” square of bottom fabric
5 - 10” squares of batting
Scraps for Kawandi-style fronts. Several fat quarters will be enough.
1⁄8 yard fabric for straps
Tools Needed
Needle
Thread
Scissors
Sewing machine optional
Iron for pressing straps
To be extra clear
This is a pdf pattern you will need to download. I will not ship a paper pattern or a completed bag.
